Galvanized Pipe Description
Galvanized pipe is a pipe made by covering the surface of steel pipe with zinc layer. It is mainly divided into hot-dip galvanized pipe and cold-dip galvanized pipe (electrogalvanized pipe). Its core characteristics are as follows:
Anti-corrosion performance: The zinc layer effectively isolates the steel pipe from the external environment, significantly improves corrosion resistance and prolongs service life. The hot-dip galvanized pipe has a thick coating (usually ≥500g/m²), tightly combined to form a zinc-iron alloy layer with strong corrosion resistance; the cold-dip galvanized pipe has a thin coating (10-50g/m²), is easy to fall off, and has been banned.
Process and standards: The hot-dip galvanizing process includes pickling, auxiliary plating, hot-dip galvanizing and other steps, which conforms to national standards such as GB/T3091-2015. The coating uniformity, tensile strength (≥335MPa), yield point and other indicators are strictly regulated.
Physical properties: Smooth surface, wear resistance, the operating temperature range is generally -40℃ to 200℃, and special materials can adapt to higher or lower temperatures.
